Chana Dhal Sundal

This is my mom's recipe and it is simple and tasty.You can make this for festivals and poojas.You can also prepare it for kids since it is healthy.


Ingredients:

Coconut-2 Spoon
Green Chillies-3
Toor Dhal-1/4 cup
Asafoetida-a pinch
Red Chillies-2
Mustard-1/4 tsp
Urad Dhal-1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves
Channa Dhal-1 Cup
Salt

Method:

1.Soak Channa Dhal for minimum of 8 hours.
2.Cook Channa Dhal in cooker for 2 whistles with salt.
3.Cook Toor Dhal in cooker for 3 whistles.
4.Grind coconut,green chillies,cooked toor dhal,asafoetida.
5.In a pan fry mustard,urad dhal,red chillies,curry leaves.
6.Add the grinded mixture and channa dhal to it.

Tip:


If you dont have much time to soak chenna dhal you can soak with a pinch of baking soda for 4 to 5 hours.
