Easy Bisibelabath

I love Bisibelabath and recently found an easy way of doing it from the blog my samayal.I gave a try with few alterations in it and it turned out to be a mouth watery one.


Ingredients:

Rice-1/2 cup
Vegetables-1/2 Cup
Toor dhal-1/4 Cup
Tomato-1/2
Tamarind-a small piece
Onion-1/2
Sambhar Powder-3 Tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Mustard-1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves-Few
Coriander leaves-For garnishing
Salt-To taste
Ghee
Oil
Water 1:4 ratio

To Fry & Grind:


Coconut-2 tbsp
Red Chillies-6
Pepper-1 Tsp
Bengal Gram-1 Tsp
Corainder Seeds-1 Tsp
Fenugreek Seeds-1/4 Tsp
Cumin Seeds-1 Tsp
Garam Masala-1 pinch
Hing-a pinch

Method:


1.Pressure cook toor dhal,vegetables,onion,tomato with salt.
2.Fry and grind the above said ingredients.Add 1 1/2 Tsp and store the rest in a container for further use.
3.Add tamarind water,sambhar powder,turmeric powder,grinded ingredients and cooked toordhal with vegetables in a rice cooker.
4.Add salt for taste according to rice quantity.
5.Allow it to cook.If using ordinary pressure cooker leave it for 5 whistles.
6.In a pan add mustard and curry leaves and add to the cooked rice once it is cooked.
7.Add coriander leaves for garnishing and ghee for taste.
