Papad Vatral Kuzhambu

As i am a big fan of vatral Kuzhambu i usually add vegetables,onion,different vadams for varied tastes.Recently came across this vatral kuzhambu recipe with papad in Jeyashri's Kitchen and it turned out really tasty.

INGREDIENTS:


Tamarind-Lemon Sized
Sambhar Powder-3 Spoons
Turmeric Powder-1/4 Tsp
Salt-As per taste
Asafoetida-1 Pinch
Pappad-2 or 3
Jaggery-1/4 tsp
Mustard-1/4 Tsp
Red Chillies
Fenugreek-1/4 Tsp
Curry Leaves-5 to 6 leaves
Oil


METHOD:


1.Keep tamarind in microwave for a minute and take the extract alone.
2.In a pan add oil,mustard,fenugreek seeds,red chillies.
3.Cut papads into small pieces and add to the above until it is slightly roasted.
4.Now add tamarind extract,turmeric powder,sambhar powder,salt,asafoetida,jaggery.
5.Allow it to boil and when it is done remove from flame.
6.Add curry leaves.

You can enjoy having it with hot rice.
